Recently, Perceptive Software CTO Darren Knipp went one-on-one with Ron Miller, editor at Fierce Content Management (FCM), a leading source in all things Enterprise Content Management (ECM), to talk about Lexmark’s acquisition of Perceptive, the company's growth, and Perceptive's position in the ECM market.

For some, the word "acquisition" might as well be synonymous with "merger." In the case of Perceptive Software and Lexmark, Darren tells us that simply isn’t the case. Understanding how a company’s business decisions will affect the way they do business can be hard for outsiders, customers, and even employees to fully grasp; however, Knipp explains the decision and the ways in which it's beneficial, not only for the two companies, but for the people and institutions they serve.

As a newer member of the Perceptive Software family, I for one feel confident that Perceptive will continue to grow, remain independent, and provide comprehensive ECM technology that will streamline processes, limit environmental impact and reduce costs overall.
