Well, you've hung in with me to count down the top 10 things you'll save by bringing process and content management together. I think it's only fair to reveal what #1 is, but let's first refresh our memories on the rest of our list:
#10 - Time#9 - Space#8 - Dollars#7 - Your resources#6 - Aspirin#5 - A tree or two#4 - Your data integrity#3 - Your customers' satisfaction#2 - Your competitive advantage
So, here it is ... what you've been waiting for ...
#1 - Your seat at the big table
Your organization's leadership is looking to you for guidance and results that will bring immediate positive impact on costs and efficiency, and quick return on investment - but also long-term benefits and opportunities for expansion and growth. By recommending and selecting the right process and content management, you can turn heads and open some doors.
The University of Minnesota has seen a dramatic return on their ECM investment. In its early stages of deployment in only three departments, the university estimated yearly costs savings of $250,000 and 700,000 pieces of paper. Five years later, with ECM expanded to more than 30 departments across five campuses, the savings in time, storage, office supplies and salary have grown exponentially.
By simply putting your documents and content into the context of your everyday business processes, you can make dramatic gains in operational efficiency and cost-savings, and secure your seat at the big table.
There you have it. The top 10 things you'll save by bringing process and content management together. What do you think? Did I miss anything?
